Self check-in is at your cabin after 4:00pm with a lockbox code provided two days before check-in or immediately if booking less than two days in advance. Please proceed directly to your cabin/campsite upon arrival.

Self check-out is at or before 11:00am. Please leave your key in the lockbox upon departure. If an earlier check-in or check-out is desired, we are happy to try and accommodate you, however we will not know if this is possible until the day of your arrival/day of your departure. If you wish for a guaranteed early check-in, it can be added to your reservation for a $50 fee and is subject to availability. Please contact us at that time and we will let you know.

Yes, you can check-in at any time after 4:00pm, however we recommend arriving in the daylight especially if it is your first visit to Love Ridge. Campers must arrive before dark to set up camp. If you arrive after 9:00pm please ensure that you have your cabin number, location and lockbox code as we may not be available by phone after 9:00pm. Please be respectful of other guests.

• Please bring your personal care items, such as a toothbrush and toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner, body or face wash, shaving blades, and deodorant.
• You will want to bring food and snacks with you as the cabin will not be stocked with food items besides cooking oil and basic spices. You can also order select food items from our online store
• We ask that guests remove their outdoor shoes when entering the cabins. We recommend bringing your slippers with you.
• If you are staying in a pet-friendly cabin and are bringing your pet, please bring towels and bedding for your animal.
• Don’t forget to bring your bathing suit if your cabin has a hot tub!

Yes, all of our cabin rentals include, but are not limited to, a refrigerator, stove top, microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot, pots/pans, dinnerware, glassware, silverware, cooking utensils, and a broom and dustpan. Some cabins may also include an in-unit laundry, dishwasher, and range/oven.

There will be salt, pepper, cooking oil, salt and pepper, coffee, and coffee filters in the kitchen cabinet.

All bed linens and towels are provided for cabin stays. Campers will need to bring their own towels or contact us to rent a towel.

For pull-out beds, sofa beds, and futons, an additional set of pillows, sheets, and blankets can be found in the bedroom closet.

• Our cabins come stocked with paper towels, toilet paper, and a broom and dustpan.
• Hand soap, dish soap, and bar soap are also provided.
• A fresh dish towel and new dish sponge will be left for you on the counter.
• A dish rack, as well as extra trash bags and recycling bags, can be found under the sink.
• Cleaning spray will be left under the kitchen sink.

Yes, our cabins are heated and cooled by AC. Additional space heaters are available if necessary. In the event of loss of power, we have back up propane heaters in all cabins.

The cabins have "smart" televisions with a DVD player that is perfect for watching movies.  As of 2025 Love Ridge is now connected with hi-speed Fiber internet and high-speed EERO based wifi. We offer our guests complimentary access to YouTubeTV as well as easy access to streaming services to view your own personal content. 

Yes. Guests at Love Ridge Mountain Lodging are welcome to enjoy outdoor fires during their stay in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Small fires are permitted in designated outdoor fire rings located near cabins, glamping tents, and campsites throughout the property. Fire rings should not be moved.

Complimentary firewood is available at both the upper and lower campuses for guests to enjoy. Guests may also collect dead and downed wood from around the property, but should never cut branches from live trees.

For the safety of guests and the surrounding forest, all fires must be completely extinguished before leaving the property or going to bed. Because the property is located in a heavily wooded mountain environment near the Blue Ridge Parkway, guests are asked to exercise extreme caution and practice responsible fire safety at all times.

While Love Ridge Mountain Lodging does not have an on-site restaurant, guests can pre-order locally made frozen meals and snack packages through our online retail store before their arrival. It’s a great way to settle in and enjoy a relaxing first night in your cabin, glamping tent, or campsite without needing to drive back into town for dinner.

Meals are placed directly in your cabin freezer prior to arrival and can easily be heated in your oven or toaster oven. We offer a variety of convenient, locally prepared dinner options along with snacks, gifts, and cabin add-ons to help make your Blue Ridge Mountain getaway even more enjoyable.

Yes. Love Ridge Mountain Lodging offers pet-friendly cabins and campsites in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, making it easy to bring your dog along for your mountain getaway. Select pet-friendly cabin rentals allow guests and their four-legged companions to enjoy nearby hiking trails, outdoor adventures, scenic drives along the Blue Ridge Parkway, and relaxing mountain views together.

Well-behaved pets are also welcome at campsites, with a limit of two dogs per site. Guests searching for pet-friendly cabins near Wintergreen Resort, Shenandoah National Park, or the Blue Ridge Parkway will find Love Ridge to be a convenient and dog-friendly lodging option in Central Virginia.

For the comfort and safety of all guests, pets must remain leashed and should never be left unattended. Please clean up after your pet and use the on-site pet waste stations located throughout the property. Pet owners are responsible for any damage or disturbances caused by their pets during their stay.

Pet Policies

Our dog-friendly cabins include Meadow Mountain Cabin, White Rock Cabin, Spy Rock Cabin, and Sherando Cabin, giving guests comfortable lodging options near the Blue Ridge Parkway and Wintergreen Resort. Learn more about our pet-friendly accommodations here.

The minimum age requirement to rent a cabin is 21 years of age. The person making the reservation must be one of the guests who occupies and remains with the rental group throughout their stay.

• Smoking and vaping is only permitted outside of the cabin and away from open windows and doors. There is no smoking allowed anywhere inside of the cabins and there shall be a $300 additional cleaning fee if there is an odor of smoke anywhere inside the cabin. If smoking occurs outside, the Guest shall properly dispose of all smoking materials.
• No glitter, confetti, or loose décor (with the exception of silk petals) are allowed in the cabins. An additional cleaning fee will be incurred if these items are used in the cabin. We do not permit the affixing of anything to the walls, floors, or ceilings of our cabins.
• Due to the risk of fire, we do not permit guests to burn candles indoors or outdoors at any rental property.
• Firearms, fireworks, and ATVs are strictly prohibited and are not permitted at any rental property. If evidence is found that guests have used these items on the property, the guest will be fined a minimum of $300 per instance depending on the circumstances. Guests will also be responsible for any damages resulting from the use of prohibited items. ATVs should not be parked or stored at Love Ridge.

Items that are left behind by guests will be held in our storage area for up to 7 days and then donated.

If you think you left something in the cabin, please contact us as soon as possible.

In order to return the item to you, we charge a minimum flat $25 fee which covers any associated packing and shipping costs. Larger items may cost more to package and ship and costs are accordingly billed to the guest.

Cancellations that are made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date will be assessed a 10% administration fee of the reservation total, and then shall be refunded the balance of the deposit.

Cancellations within 7-13 days of the check-in date will result in a loss of 50% of all monies paid. Cancellations less than 7 days in advance will result in the loss of 100% of all monies paid.
