Family Camp at Love Ridge Sunday, June 9th - 15

Kick off the summer with a week of VA Family Camp in the Blue Ridge Mountains! Let us hang with and feed your kids (5 and up) through lunchtime so you can have time to do what you need. Get to know other families who love the outdoors during optional afternoon excursions like exploring Sherando Lake, hikes in the wilderness areas & views along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Fun experiences for parents and kids all week.

Love Ridge Mountain Lodging offers a variety of family sized cabins from cozy to 3-4 bedroom chalets. Our campus is set just below 3000’ in elevation on a gentle ridge above the former town site of Love, Virginia. One hundred years since homesteaders called on Love for trade, supplies & community we are introducing families, couples & individuals to the unique setting in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

  • Geology – Our campus has large sections of Appalachian bedrock to explore as we learn about geologic time and scale.
  • Survival & Woods Skills – Making a fire, building a shelter and learning basic emergency skills help boost confidence.
  • Edible Landscapes – For centuries humans have lived off the land.
