Check-in & Check-out
Check-in is contactless at your cabin after 4 pm. Please plan to arrive during the daytime if at all possible. You will receive check-in instructions the morning of your reservation.
We recommend arriving in daylight hours, but understand that might not always be possible. If you arrive late, it will be very important to make sure you have downloaded/printed directions to the property and your cabin.
Room Occupancy rules
Occupancy is limited to the number of guests requested for your stay. The total number of guests in your party must be reported to Love Ridge Mountain Lodging including children, infants, and dogs. Occupancy cannot exceed posted limits for each unit.

All major credit cards are accepted.
Please be aware we have no control over travel delays due to your health, flight delays, weather, or other reasons for not being able to keep your reservation.
ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE IN WRITING
Cancellations that are made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date will be assessed a 5% administration fee of the booking deposit, and then shall be refunded the balance of the deposit.
Cancellations within 14 days of the check-in date will result in a loss of 100% of all monies paid. Love Ridge Mountain Lodging will make every effort to re-book the canceled cabin during the period of the canceled stay. Any amount re-booked will be refunded to the Guest minus a 5% administration fee.
The loss can be avoided if CSA Travel Protection Insurance or some other third-party insurance was purchased and the reason for cancellation is covered under the travel insurance policy. Love Ridge Mountain Lodging recommends you purchase this insurance from CSA or some other third-party insurer.
If Guests should have to cancel their reservation within 14 days of their stay, please notify Love Ridge Mountain Lodging immediately of any cancellation, and if Guest purchased vacation travel insurance, contact them to begin your claim.
Guest agrees that weather or acts of God shall not be a reason for cancellation or a refund except for local mandatory evacuations where Love Ridge Mountain Lodging is located, see section 9 below.
YOUR RESERVATION REQUEST, OR PAYMENT OF MONEY, OR TAKING POSSESSION OF THE PROPERTY AFTER RECEIPT OF THE AGREEMENT, IS EVIDENCE OF YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THE AGREEMENT AND YOUR INTENT TO USE THIS PROPERTY FOR MOUNTAIN LODGING.
YOU AGREE THAT THE CONFIRMATION AND/OR CHECK-IN EMAIL YOU RECEIVED OR WILL RECEIVE CONTAINS YOUR NAME, ADDRESS, RENTAL DATES, CHECK-IN/OUT TIMES, CABIN LOCATION, RENT, PET FEE(S), TAXES, SERVICE FEES, MISC. ADD-ON(S), DAMAGE PROTECTION (IF ANY), AND CREDIT CARD CHARGES ARE INCORPORATED HEREIN AND MADE A PART OF THIS MOUNTAIN LODGING AGREEMENT. 50% OF THE TOTAL FOR YOUR STAY WILL BE CHARGED UPON CONFIRMATION OF YOUR RESERVATION. THE BALANCE WILL BE CHARGED TO YOUR CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD 30 DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL DATE.
Immediately upon arrival, Guests agree to notify Love Ridge Mountain Lodging, in writing or email, of any noticeable damages or conditions requiring repair or maintenance.
Guests agree to be responsible for any damages to the premises during their rental stay. This includes damages to the furnishings, floors, structures, and household items that result from the action or inaction of Guests or their invitees, excluding normal wear and tear.
Guests further agree to reimburse Love Ridge Mountain Lodging for collection costs, if necessary, and reasonable attorney fees. ‘
Any security deposit noted in this agreement may be applied to actual damages intentional or unintentionally caused by the Guest as permitted under the Guest Security Deposit Act. Guest agrees that if no separate security deposit (payable only by check or money order) is given beyond the total rental amount, Love Ridge Mountain Lodging is hereby authorized to charge Guest’s credit card up to $3,000 for any damages discovered after Guest’s departure.
If the damage exceeds $3,000, legal action may be instituted against the Guest for damages to the property. Love Ridge Mountain Lodging shall provide written details to the Guest of any damage within 20 days of departure. Guest agrees that if he or she does not make full payment to Love Ridge Mountain Lodging for said damage within 5 days of receiving written notice (email), Guest agrees that Love Ridge Mountain Lodging may process Guest’s credit card on file and Guest agrees not to challenge or dispute, with his or her credit card company, any charges made by Love Ridge Mountain Lodgingfor said damage.
A Guest has the option of purchasing Vacation Rental Damage Insurance from vacationrentalinsurance.com or any other third-party insurer. Love Ridge Mountain Lodging shall apply, account for, or refund the Guest’s security deposit (if any) within 45 days following the end of the stay.
We do not provide trip/cancellation insurance. See paragraph 11 for information about trip cancellation insurance.
Guest agrees to keep the cabins clean and safe causing no unsafe or unsanitary conditions in the common areas and the remainder of the Premises that Guest uses, and Guest agrees to notify Love Ridge Mountain Lodging in writing of the need for replacement of or repairs to a smoke detector, and replacement of batteries as needed during the tenancy.
Guest also agrees to notify Love Ridge of any problems or repairs needed with the cabin, in writing, and Love Ridge Mountain Lodging shall have a reasonable time to remedy any such problems.
Guest agrees not to use the Premises for any activity or purpose that violates any criminal law or governmental regulation and may use the Premises for residential purposes only.
Guest’s breach of any duty contained in this paragraph shall be considered material and shall result in the termination of Guest’s stay.
Smoking is only permitted outside and away from open windows and doors.
There is no smoking anywhere in the cabins and there shall be a $500 additional cleaning fee if there is an odor of smoke anywhere inside the cabin.
If smoking occurs outside, the Guest shall properly dispose of all smoking materials.
Guest agrees to be respectful of other guests and to keep noise to a minimum between the hours of 10 pm and 7 am. Guest agrees to be fully responsible for all persons staying in cabins covered by this agreement.
Unless specifically preapproved in your online confirmation, no pets shall be allowed on the Premises. Guest’s breach of this provision shall be considered material and shall result in the termination of Guest’s stay.
You are responsible for your dog(s) at all times. Guests bringing preapproved dogs will be charged a pet fee. Any misrepresentation regarding the number of pets will be charged accordingly and subject guests to termination of their stay.
Guests are held ﬁnancially responsible for all physical damages to Property (i.e. chewing, scratching, ﬂea infestation, etc.), inﬂicted on the Property by the presence of a pet. If extra cleaning is deemed reasonable due to the presence of a pet (i.e. soiled furniture and/or ﬂooring, hair on furnishings or bedding, or ﬂeas), the Guest will be held ﬁnancially responsible and the credit card on ﬁle will be charged for the amount of the repair/recovery.
All dogs are required to be leashed when outside and no dogs shall be tied outside the Property unless supervised by a responsible adult. Guest shall also dispose of any and all dog waste deposited on Love Ridge Mountain Lodging premises.
Guest agrees to hold Love Ridge Mountain Lodging and Owner harmless for any pet injury or accident caused by their pet whatsoever that may occur on the Property during occupancy.
Dogs are not to be left unattended on the cabin decks. They may be left unattended inside the cabins only if they are calm and comfortable. Please respect other guests and prevent excessive barking. Guests with dogs that bark excessively will be warned. If the barking persists, the guest will be required to leave the property and forfeit all monies paid. Even though we are dog lovers, we must put the comfort of our two-legged guests above that of our four-legged ones. WE DO NOT ALLOW CATS.
Guest agrees to be responsible for ensuring that maximum permitted occupancy of the Premises is not exceeded during the term of this Agreement and should contact Love Ridge Mountain Lodging with any questions regarding permitted occupancy of the Premises.
Love Ridge Mountain Lodging DUTIES
Love Ridge Mountain Lodging agrees to provide the Premises in a fit and habitable condition. If at the time Guest is to begin occupancy of the Premises, Love Ridge cannot provide the Premises in a fit and habitable condition or substitute a reasonably comparable property in such condition, Love Ridge Mountain Lodging shall refund to Guest all payments made by Guest. Love Ridge Mountain Lodging shall conduct all activities in regard to this Agreement without respect to the race, color, religion, sex, national origin, handicap, familial status, sexual orientation, or gender identity of any guest.
If State or local authorities order a mandatory evacuation of an area that includes Love Ridge, the Guest shall comply with the order. Upon compliance, the Guest will be entitled to a refund of the prorated rent for each night that the Guest is unable to occupy the Premises because of the order.
Guest may be removed from Love Ridge Mountain Lodging without liability if Guest: (i) holds over in possession after Guest’s stay has expired; (ii) commits a material breach of any provision of this Agreement (including any addendum hereto) that according to its terms would result in the termination of Guest’s tenancy; (iii) fails to make payments as required by this Agreement; or (iv) has obtained possession of the Premises by fraud or misrepresentation.
Love Ridge Mountain Lodging is not responsible, nor will refunds be issued, for mechanical failures of non-essential or luxury items. In the case where the Property sustains a failure of a system or amenity (at the time of or during the stay), including, but not limited to, water, sewer, heating, electrical, mechanical, ventilating, structural systems, or other facilities or major appliances, Love Ridge Mountain Lodging shall promptly repair such system or amenity in a commercially reasonable manner and time upon receipt of written notiﬁcation from Guest that repairs are needed. Guest agrees to permit Love Ridge Mountain Lodging or its service staff to have reasonable access to the property to inspect and make such repairs in a commercially reasonable manner and time.
Love Ridge Mountain Lodging shall be liable to Guest for damages, and no refunds will be given for such temporary failure or minor disruption of any utilities, provided Love Ridge Mountain Lodging is causing the system or amenity to be repaired in a commercially reasonable manner and time after having received written notiﬁcation from Guest that repairs are needed.
INDEMNIFICATION AND HOLD HARMLESS; RIGHT OF ENTRY, ASSIGNMENT
Guest agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Love Ridge Mountain Lodging, its owner and employees from and against any liability for personal injury or property damage sustained by any person (including Guests’ invitees) as a result of any cause unless caused by a willful act of Love Ridge or the owner.
GUESTS AGREE AND UNDERSTAND THE INHERENT DANGER OF TRAVELING DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AND HEREBY ABSOLVE LOVE RIDGE MOUNTAIN LODGING OF ANY AND ALL LIABILITY RESULTING FROM ALLEGED EXPOSURE TO COVID-19 WHILE ON LOVE RIDGE’S PREMISES. EVERY PERSON, INCLUDING GUESTS AND GUESTS’ INVITEES, MUST SIGN LOVE RIDGE’S LIABILITY WAIVER BEFORE ACCESSING OUR TRAIL SYSTEM OR BIKING ON OUR PROPERTY. IF THE GUEST NEGLECTS TO SIGN THE WAIVER, THEN THE GUEST ACCEPTS POSTED SIGNAGE AS ACCEPTANCE OF THE INDEMNIFICATION WAIVER AND LOVE RIDGE MOUNTAIN LODGING IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR REPARATIONS, IN ANY FORM, FOR MATERIAL LOSS OR BODILY INJURY.
Guest agrees that Love Ridge Mountain Lodging, its owners and employees, or their respective representatives may enter the Premises during reasonable hours to inspect the Premises, to make such repairs, alterations or improvements thereto as Love Ridge Mountain Lodging or owner may deem appropriate, or to show the Premises to prospective purchasers or guests.
Guest shall not assign this Agreement or sublet the Premises in whole or part without the written permission of Love Ridge Mountain Lodging.
All reservations are subject to a 24-hour cancellation by Love Ridge Mountain Lodging to confirm that the cabin was not inadvertently double-booked. If this occurs, the Guest shall be refunded the entire amount paid. Please note that we cannot guarantee or hold any reservations prior to receiving a 50% payment deposit.
Guest agrees to pay a $100.00 processing fee for any check of Guest that may be returned by the financial institution due to insufficient funds or because Guest did not have an account at the financial institution. Guest also authorizes Love Ridge Mountain Lodging to disburse prior to Guest’s occupancy of the Premises any fees owed to third parties to pay for any goods, services, or benefits procured by Love Ridge Mountain Lodging for the benefit of Guest, including but not limited to any fees set forth herein payable to Love Ridge Mountain Lodging for reservation, transfer or cancellation of Guest’s reservation.
Love Ridge Mountain Lodging shall not be responsible for Guests’ personal belongings that are lost, stolen, or left behind. If items are found and able to be returned, a retrieval fee of $25 plus shipping will be charged to the Guest.
Love Ridge Mountain Lodging and Owner make every effort to provide accurate information about the Property. Every effort has been made to assure that the information on the website and communicated by ofﬁce staff and Love Ridge Mountain Lodging are correct; however, it is not guaranteed. The information herein is believed to be accurate and timely, but no warranty as such is expressed or implied. The provisions of this Agreement are severable, and the unenforceability or invalidity of any provision of this Agreement shall not affect the remainder of the Agreement.
The parties acknowledge that it is their intention that if any provision of this Agreement is determined by a court to be unenforceable or invalid as drafted, that provisions should be construed in a manner designed to effectuate the purpose of that provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law. The parties hereby consent to the scope of such provision being judicially modiﬁed accordingly in any proceeding brought to enforce that provision. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof, and cancels and supersedes all prior and contemporaneous agreements, understandings, negotiations, and discussions of the parties, whether oral or written, relating to the subject matter herein. This Agreement may not be amended except in a writing signed by all parties.
Each cabin comes with two assigned parking spaces. Additional parking is limited and available on a first-come first-serve basis.
The parties agree that this Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and that in the event of a dispute; any legal action may only be instituted in the county where Love Ridge Mountain Lodging is located. Neither party shall be entitled to attorney’s fees or costs regardless of who prevails should litigation occur between the parties.
