VENUE & SPACES
Yes, you can have an outdoor ceremony. Our gathering lawn features a beautiful outcropping of Blue Ridge greenstone and overlooks the Three Ridges Wilderness Area, creating a natural, picture-perfect arbor for your vows.
Absolutely. Many couples choose to host their ceremony on one of our scenic lawn spaces and their reception in the Lodge.
Because the ceremony site is a short distance from the Lodge, we typically recommend:
- Renting a golf cart for quick transport of items
- Using separate ceremony seating (benches or rented chairs)
We’re happy to help guide logistics to ensure a smooth transition between spaces.

Yes! Stay immersed in the Blue Ridge the whole weekend: host your rehearsal dinner, welcome party, or post-wedding brunch right here. It’s a great way to spend more time with loved ones in a relaxed, scenic setting. When you reserve a weekend wedding at Love Ridge, the Lodge and outdoor venue spaces are open for your use from Friday at 4pm until Sunday at 11am.
Not to worry! Our indoor Lodge offers a warm, intimate atmosphere. It comfortably seats 100 for dinner or 150 for a reception, ensuring your celebration is magical no matter the weather. A tent can be placed adjacent to the Lodge for extra space for parties of 100 or more or to accommodate your rain plan.
For weddings with 100+ guests, a tent is required, as our Indoor Lodge comfortably seats up to 100 guests. That said, tents can be a beautiful addition for outdoor celebrations of any size.
We recommend a 40’x60’ or 40’x80’ tent (which fits closest to the Lodge) through one of our preferred providers, such as Skyline Tents. For more budget-friendly options, Central Virginia Rental offers smaller tent sizes.
To ensure a smooth setup:
- Installation & breakdown must take place between 8 AM – 4 PM while our team is onsite
- Tents must be staked in designated locations by an approved vendor
- Delivery as early as Thursday and pickup by Monday is welcome
As you finalize your tent plans, feel free to keep us in the loop; we’re happy to help coordinate and make the process seamless.

If you’re dreaming of a romantic, stress-free elopement surrounded by nature, we’d love to host your special day!
Yes, we offer a range of planning services to support and we’re here to support you in whatever way feels right for your planning style.
All couples receive a complimentary initial planning session, where we share our preferred vendor list, helpful timelines, and guidance to get you started with confidence.
From there, you can:
- Work with our in-house planning team
- Bring in your own planner
- Or opt for our all-inclusive package, which includes coordination and planning support to ensure a seamless experience
A 50% deposit of the site fee, along with the accommodation fee, is due at the time of booking to secure your date.

Yes! We offer three thoughtfully designed elopement options for couples looking for a more intimate celebration. All elopements are available to book within 6 months of your wedding date:
- 2-Person Elopement
A simple and romantic experience including a one-hour ceremony with your officiant, a one-night honeymoon cabin stay, and a picnic-style charcuterie for two. - Intimate Affair (up to 20 guests)
Includes an outdoor ceremony site with benches, PA system, planning support, and day-of parking, plus a one-hour outdoor reception and a two-night stay in a Love Ridge home for up to 10 guests. - The Ceremony Experience (up to 20 guests)

Guest Capacity & lodging
Love Ridge can accommodate weddings of up to 200 guests.
Our Lodge seats up to 100 guests for a seated dinner or can host up to 150 guests for a standing reception. For larger celebrations, outdoor spaces and tented setups offer additional flexibility.
And just in case, our Lodge and tent lawn are supported by a backup generator, so your celebration can continue smoothly even in the event of a power outage.

For weddings with over 50 guests, we require a full campus lodging reservation, which includes all cabins and gives you exclusive access to the property for the weekend. Lodging costs are the responsibility of the wedding couple and/or their guests. Many couples choose to cover lodging for their wedding party and close family, while other guests book and pay for their own cabins directly.
For smaller weddings with up to 50 guests, an upper campus lodging block will be reserved. This approach helps maintain a private, immersive experience for you and your guests.
Each cabin is fully equipped for a comfortable stay:

- Cozy fireplaces for chilly nights
- Many with private hot tubs or jacuzzis for unwinding after the big day

For a weekend wedding we offer a 2-night stay room block for guests so they can fully enjoy the Love Ridge experience. For the wedding couple, we suggest at least 3 nights to relax before and after the big day.
Day-of logistics
For a typical wedding schedule at Love Ridge, you’ll have venue access from Friday afternoon through Sunday morning, allowing time for the following flow:
- Friday: Setup and rehearsal
- Saturday: A relaxed wedding day
- Sunday: Post-wedding brunch or time with guests
Single-day events are also available with more limited access hours.
Yes! We’ve curated a list of trusted local vendors for catering, florals, rentals, music, and more. These partners are familiar with our property and help ensure a seamless experience.
You’re also welcome to bring in outside vendors; we simply ask that they complete our vendor form and provide appropriate insurance documentation.
Vendor setup typically begins at 12:00 PM on the day of your event. Earlier access may be available upon request for an additional fee.
Yes, we have plenty of parking for guests and vendors. For larger weddings, we recommend arranging shuttle services for convenience.

Yes! Love Ridge is family-friendly; we just ask that children are supervised due to our natural setting.
You may purchase your own alcohol in compliance with ABC regulations and provide a server from a licensed caterer. A banquet license will be needed in order to serve alcohol at your wedding.
Yes, we’re dog-friendly, and we want your four-legged friend to be part of your ceremony too. We have four dog friendly cabins.
Yes, event insurance is required. We recommend starting with your current insurance provider, as many standard carriers offer special event coverage as an add-on, which is typically the most affordable option. If yours doesn’t, specialized wedding insurance companies like Wedsafe, Wedsure, and BriteCo offer solid coverage specifically designed for events.

Yes, we’d love to show you around! Tours are typically offered on weekdays, with limited weekend availability depending on our event schedule.
We’re happy to welcome your guests to Love Ridge! Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and we kindly ask that all guests plan to arrive at or after this time to allow us to fully prepare the cabins for your stay. If you have any special requests or timing needs, please reach out, and we’ll do our best to accommodate whenever possible.
For insurance reasons, we can’t transport guests, but we recommend:
- Quick’s Bus, Easy Riders Bus Company, Ambassador Limousine, A&A Limousine & Central VA Wine Tours for group transportation
- Rideshare options (though limited in rural areas)
